GEMFIVE accepts a variety of payment options, including credit and debit cards. The following credit and debit cards can be used for payment:

If you do not have a credit / debit card or online direct debit facility, you can choose one of the following options to pay for your purchase:
  • via Interbank GIRO (IBG)
  • via ATM Transfer
  • via Hong Leong Bank or Maybank Cash Deposit Machines
  • at any Bank Counters

  • Can I pay using International credit and debit cards?
    We do not accept credit and debit cards issued outside of Malaysia currently.

    What is CVC / CVV2?
    Card Verification Code (CVC or CVC2) or Card Verification value (CVV or CVV2) is a security feature to mitigate the risk of credit card fraud. For Visa and MasterCard, the code is located on the back of the card, typically a separate group of 3 digits to the right of the signature strip. Credit Card
    For American Express, the code is located on the front of the card, typically a separate group of 4 digits to the right of the card. Amex Card

    Can I use a credit card which is not under my name to make payment?
    No. We put in place security and anti-fraud measures to ensure that transactions are performed by the legitimate owners of each credit or debit card. No one else should have access to your card details.

    I have unknown credit card charges by GEMFIVE in my statement.
    If you don’t recognise a charge, please contact us.

    My credit card payment was declined. How can I resolve it?
    If your credit card payment is declined, do one of the following:
    • Confirm that your cardholder name, credit card number, expiration date and CVC/CVV2 were entered correctly.
    • Confirm that you receive the one-time password (OTP) from your bank
    • Confirm that the one-time password was entered correctly.
    • Contact your bank.
    What is Direct Debit Payment?
    Direct Debit (commonly known as Internet banking payment) is a simple, secure and convenient way of online payments from your current or savings account with the bank. When you confirm a direct debit payment, you agree with the bank the amount to be collected and the date of payment. The amount will then be deducted from your bank account and paid to GEMFIVE as agreed.

    Is direct debit available 24 hours?
    Direct debit is generally available 24 hours but it may be affected by banks' operating hours for its electronic banking services.

    How does direct debit work?

    Please follow these simple steps:


    • Select one of the direct debit options available
    • You will be directed to MOLPay payment page and click “Continue”
    • You will be directed to the designated bank login page.
    • Enter your personal login ID/username and password at bank login page
    • Review transaction details page
    • Request Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) and enter it in the bank page
    • Payment will be approved / declined, subject to bank’s authorisation process
    Remember to log out at the bank’s page and you will be re-directed to GEMFIVE

    Who is MOLPay?
    GEMFIVE uses MOLPay payment services to accept payments via online banking from the following banks - Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, RHB Now, Hong Leong Connect, Alliance Online and AmOnline. MOLPay is a local payment service provider regulated under Malaysia’s Financial Services Act (FSA) 2013.

    What is FPX?
    FPX (Financial Process Xchange) is a payment gateway provided by MyClear that allows you to make real time online payment using your current or savings account.

    Who is MyClear?
    Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation Sdn Bhd (MyClear) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia. It offers a full-suite of e-payment solutions catering to different financial needs and different sets of customers that include financial institutions, corporations, retailers and the general public.

    How does FPX work?
    • Please ensure your pop-up blocker is disabled.
    • Select FPX as your payment option at GEMFIVE.
    • Select your preferred bank and you will be directed to the Internet banking login page.
    • Once the transaction is successful, you will receive separate notifications from GEMFIVE, your bank and FPX

    Can I use FPX to make payments anytime?
    Yes. FPX service is generally available at any time. However, FPX service is also dependent on the participating banks’ Internet banking service availability.

    Why was my payment made through FPX declined?
    Generally, there are several reasons for this:
    • Payment above the transaction limit
    • Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) was entered wrongly
    • TAC expired
    • Insufficient funds
    You should contact your bank to resolve the matter.


    What is the maximum transaction limit for FPX service?
    For an individual banking account, the maximum amount is generally limited to RM30,000.00 per transaction. However, this limit is subject to your personal Internet banking transaction limit setting, whichever is lower.

    What is Interbank GIRO (IBG)?
    IBG is a way to transfer funds or make payments to anyone using Mobile or Internet Banking. It can also be made via over-the-counter services at bank branches.


    How can I use IBG to pay for my order at GEMFIVE using Mobile or Internet Banking IBG?
    Please follow these simple steps:
    • Place order at GEMFIVE
    • Select “Bank Transfer” as your preferred payment option
    • Jot down the ORDER ID created for your order.
    • Login to your own bank’s Internet or Mobile banking services
    • Look for “Fund Transfers”, then select Interbank GIRO from the list of Fund Transfers services available.
    • Key in one of the following GEMFIVE’s bank account details:

    How can I use IBG to pay for my order at GEMFIVE using Over-The-Counter (OTC) IBG method?
    Please follow these simple steps:
  • Place order at GEMFIVE.
  • Select “Bank Transfer” as your preferred payment option.
  • Jot down the ORDER ID created for your order.
  • Visit any IBG participating bank branches and fill in the Interbank GIRO form. The details required in the form includes beneficiary’s name, account number and amount to be transferred. Please provide GEMFIVE’s bank account details as below:

    How can I use IBG to pay for my order at GEMFIVE using the ATM Transfer method?
    Please follow these simple steps:
    • Place order at GEMFIVE.
    • Select “Bank Transfer” as your preferred payment option.
    • Jot down the ORDER ID created for your order.
    • Visit any ATM machine of any IBG participating bank.
    • Access the ATM using your ATM card.
    • Select “Payment Transfer” or “Fund Transfer” on service selection screen.
    • Select Interbank GIRO.
    • Select the beneficiary’s bank, enter transfer amount and beneficiary’s account number. Please use one of the following GEMFIVE’s bank account details as beneficiary information during the IBG:

    Are there any charges when I use IBG to make payment?
    Yes, the participating banks only charge a small fee of RM0.10 per transaction (excludes GST) for Internet or Mobile Banking while Over the Counter (OTC) charges are subject to individual banks’ service fee rates.

    Is there maximum transaction limit for IBG?
    Yes, the maximum transaction limit is generally RM1,000,000 per transaction and subject to individual banks’ limit and restrictions.

    Does my bank offer IBG?

    How do I use the Cash Deposit Machine method to pay for my GEMFIVE order?
    Please follow these simple steps:
    • Place order at GEMFIVE.
    • Select “Bank Transfer” as your preferred payment option.
    • Jot down the ORDER ID created for your order.
    • Visit any Hong Leong Bank or Maybank’s Cash Deposit machines (CDM)
    • Select “Cash Deposit” on service selection screen
    • Enter beneficiary’s account number and deposit amount as below:

    Is there maximum transaction limit for IBG?
    When is my order processed after making payment for the order via IBG or Cash Deposit Machine?
    Once you submit the payment receipt (proof of payment) to GEMFIVE, it will generally take 1-2 working days for GEMFIVE to confirm that your payment has been received by GEMFIVE. Once the payment receipt is confirmed, you will receive an email notification. Your order will be verified and fulfilled according to shipping policy published in GEMFIVE.

    How to use my GEMcash Voucher? [move this section to the end]
    To use the GEMcash Voucher, please enter the GEMcash voucher code in the ‘Promo code’ box on the GEMFIVE check-out page, after you have selected all your products.
    • You need to login into your GEMFIVE account first (or register an account if you have not done so)
    • GEMcash is not available for guest checkout.
    • The GEMcash Voucher is valid for a limited time as stated on each voucher. Offer ends at 11:59 p.m. (Malaysian time) on the date specified on the voucher or when all GEMcash voucher codes are claimed, whichever is earlier.

    Errors During Payment Process


    I saw a blank page after I clicked “place order” button at GEMFIVE. What should I do?

    Why did I receive an email requesting me to send a copy of my ID card / credit card?
    For security and anti-fraud reasons, we may need to seek your assistance to provide us a copy of your ID card / credit card (front and back) for verification purposes on credit card transactions. We can only start processing your order once your purchase has been verified. If you have doubts or questions on the e-mail or need to verify the authenticity of the e-mail, please do not hesitate to contact Customer Service. (insert link to customer service page). For security reasons, we ask that you comply with your bank’s security measures on credit cards. When in doubt, you should never release your ID card / credit card details to unverified or unknown persons.

    I didn’t receive a receipt. Can I request it?
    Yes, you can contact us to request an official tax receipt. If your order is fulfilled by one of our participating merchants, you should be expecting an invoice from the merchant, rather than from GEMFIVE.

    Bank has deducted my money but on GEMFIVE, payment is stated failed. What should I do?
    Don't worry, please contact us for further assistance. To avoid any duplication of your order, please do not place the same order again before checking with us.

    Instalment Payment Plan


    What is Installment Payment Plan (IPP)?
    Instalment Payment Plan (or sometimes known as Easy Payment Plan) is a new payment option offered to GEMFIVE customers, allowing them to convert their purchase of RM500 and above into monthly instalments.

    Who is eligible to use IPP to make payment on GEMFIVE?
    The program is only offered to customers with Visa / MasterCard / Amex credit card (excluding corporate card, debit card) of the following bank:
    • Maybank Malaysia
    What are the tenures available for GEMFIVE IPP?
    GEMFIVE offers a 6-month (for minimum purchase of RM500) or 12-month (for minimum purchase of RM1000) installment plan to customers.

    Do customer need to pay additional fee to enroll for IPP on GEMFIVE?
    No. GEMFIVE is currently offering interest-free (or 0% interest) instalment plan to customers.

    Can customer use GEMCASH Voucher Codes when using IPP?
    No, customers are not allowed to use GEMCASH Voucher Codes when using IPP.

    Does GEMFIVE offer all products for IPP?
    GEMFIVE only offers IPP for selected products, priced more than RM500 each.

    What are the products eligible for IPP?
    For a start, GEMFIVE offers about 800 selected products from the Electronics, Home & Living and Lifestyle categories.

    How will customer know whether the product is eligible for IPP or not?
    Customer will be able to see the product eligibility in the product page. If the product is eligible for IPP, there is turquoise color button “Pay with 0% Installment” in the the product page.
